Since 2001, Cape Portfolios has provided a comprehensive and highly professional property management service for many of the houses and apartments we rent out on behalf of owners who either live overseas or outside Cape Town. Our management service is currently limited to Cape Town's Atlantic Seaboard suburbs of Camps Bay, Clifton, Llandudno and Hout Bay. 

This service covers all aspects of maintaining and looking after each rental property in the owner's absence including:

• Monitoring the property and checking it regularly whilst unoccupied.
• Being available 24/7 to handle check-ins and assist rental clients with problems during their stay.
• Responding to alarm activations if required by the local security monitoring company.
• Preparing and checking the property before and after each rental booking.
• Running the bookings diary and liaising with the owner and other agents regarding availability.
• Arranging maintenance work and repairs using our large network of trusted local service companies.
• Arranging interior design, re-decorating and building work through established relationship with local interior decorators, architects and construction companies. We are well-placed to advise on improvements and styling that will help maximise rental returns for our owners!
• Arranging and supervising cleaning services using our team of experienced, trusted housekeeping staff.
• Purchasing of cleaning materials and arranging laundry services where required.
• Arranging pool cleaning, gardening and landscaping services.
• Payment of rates, electricity, telephone accounts and other outgoings.

We employ 2 full time Property Managers, Thomas Vallee and Kelly Herald who are responsible for the general upkeep of our managed properties as well as supervising our dedicated team of housekeeping staff. Our Office Manager Pia Paulson and our bookkeeper Ann Symmonds between them take responsibility for payment of outgoings and handling rental payments as well as the preparation of detailed monthly management statements for our owners that itemise all expenditure and recntal income.

Cape Portfolios operates an audited Trust account for the handling of management property owners' funds and rental payments. Detailed monthly statements of income and expenditure are provided to the owners as part of our property management service.

Our managed property owners also enjoy access to the same range of "in-house" and tourism services as our rental clients, such as fridge stocking, private catering, car hire, and trips and tours to make their stay at their well-maintained properties even more enjoyable.
